Educate. Enrich. Empower.
10KO is dedicated to educating, enriching, and empowering military active duty, veterans, first responders, underserved youth, and their families through engagement with nature. Our goal is to help restore the kinships affected during times of absence while serving.
The Heart Behind Our Mission
We’ve witnessed how challenging it can be to transition from military life back to civilian life — and how powerful the outdoors can be in that journey. Much of our work has been shaped by the experiences of those who’ve found healing in nature, meaningful connection, and renewed purpose after service.
10 Klicks Outdoors was created to share that same sense of belonging and restoration — through real community, shared purpose, and time in the outdoors.
Healing Through Nature
10KO is a place of hope and healing, dedicated to serving active-duty military, veterans, first responders, underserved youth, and their families. Through restorative programs and nature-based activities, we offer participants and their families the opportunity to connect with nature and experience its transformative benefits. Many of those we serve face significant challenges, and we are honored to support people from all walks of life across the U.S. With the support of donors and partners, 10KO provides meaningful experiences nationwide, fostering solace, inspiration, renewal, and connection to the outdoors for those who have sacrificed so much.
A Sanctuary Of Diversity
One of the properties we use is a 450+ acre property in Chambers County, Alabama. This property features a variety of wildlife habitats, a working farm, 14 wildlife plots, a fishing pond, a trap and skeet range, a shooting range, a hunting lodge dating back to the 1980s (when the land served as a private hunting preserve), dog kennels, quail hatcheries, and extensive trails winding through hardwood forests.
We also hold trips in Texas, Georgia, and Illinois, and are continuing to expand our footprint across the nation.
Our Mission In Action
Our mission at 10KO is to create meaningful opportunities for veterans and their families to reconnect with nature and each other. Through shared outdoor experiences, we aim to foster healing, support, and renewed strength, providing a space where our heroes can find solace and a sense of community.
